Hughes Walker Solicitors is authorised by the Law Society to offer training contracts.
We are young firm, having been established in 2001. We have enjoyed
strong year-on-year growth. We are still however a relative small
practice which means that the successful candidate will have
a great opportunity to make his or her mark.
Our next batch of training contracts will become available in
approximately 21 months time and we are currently looking to recruit a
small number of paralegal employees with a view to commencing training
contracts in 2008.
We have a strong vision for the future.
We would like to hear from talented and enthusiastic candidates.
We are an "RTA" practice, based in the centre of Bury in Greater
Manchester with a strong reliance on IT and team based methods of
working.
You should be able to demonstrate either previous solid proven
experience in RTA (gained in a solicitors' office or insurance company
background), or at least a genuine commitment to this field combined
with good academic qualifications and standards. In addition we expect
the successful applicant to work hard, possess good communication
skills, common sense, and a willingness to apply themselves.
Because we practice exclusively in civil litigation, during the period of any training contract, the required
non-contentious experience will be obtained with a 6 month secondment
arranged by us with an outside firm of solicitors. Whilst on
secondment, the trainee remains the employee of Hughes Walker and we
remain responsible for paying the trainee's salary throughout the
training contract.
Salary will be dependent on experience / qualifications and during the
currency of any training contract, not less than the Law Society
minimum.
The issue of any training contract will be conditional upon completion
of satisfactory employment with us as a paralegal and your being accepted
by our seconding partners. We may at our discretion recognise
pre-training contract service with Hughes Walker towards the training
period if permitted by the Law Society, but we will generally do so on
a not more than 50% basis to a maximum of 6 months.
If you feel that you can make a positive contribution to your and our future, please send your cv with contact details to
recruitment@hugheswalker.co.uk
Applications will be by way of interview which may include an element of practical assessment.
Closing date for applications: 31/08/2006
